The McCormack DNA-0.5 is a high output, stereo power amplifier with protection circuit. Power output: 100 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo).

This unit has the Rev. A upgrade done by Steve McCormack of SMC Audio. All signal and power cables inside are upgraded with Van Den Hul cables. Power supply and speaker terminals also upgraded in the package. (New price stated above is for the standard version)

The Muse Interface is unlike traditional shielding methods or filter networks. Even complex shielding methods still remain in proximity to the conductors, thereby distorting the audio signal. Filter networks in boxes at the ends of the cables often contain low quality resistors, inductors and capacitors to perform the filtering. These reduce RFI/EMI in the cable by being soldered in series between the signal conductors. This alters the integrity of the signal, in particular, the higher order harmonic structure.

Using The Muse Interface, RFI/EMI is dissipated and absorbed within the Muse technology. This function occurs in isolation from the signal conductors. The signal path is not cut and fitted with additional components. The Muse Interface is extremely effective in eliminating the noise of RFI/EMI without the attendant high-frequency anomalies of filter networks. This translates into a sound that is closer to live than ever before.

The purpose of a cable insulator is to prevent cables from being influenced by vibrations from the speaker. Most conventional cable insulators (or stabilizers) are made from a single material. So even if the cable is lifted from the floor, they will generate their own resonance which will inevitably induce coloration.

We at Acoustic Revive have tested many materials, and as a result of these tests we decided to adopt a combination of top quality maple and ebony, which makes the sound natural and free from coloration. The Seven Phono stage can be upgraded to the Reference specification to further improve the musical performance from your valuable record collection. Graham painstakingly sources truly unique resistors that in such a simple circuit really bring out a richer and more intimate performance from the artist. We also upgraded the capacitors to a custom specification to work in harmony with the improved resistors; as in most development activities changing one thing in isolation hardly ever results in a balanced improvement. Graham says "it never ceases to amaze me how improving one component can impact the music in such a significant way, and also how long it takes to find the right combination to retain true harmony."

Ortofon's Cadenza Black MC phono cartridge is optimized for an amazing tonal neutrality, dynamics and purity of sound. Its detail, consistency and sound staging are immense. Cadenza Black utilizes a Nude Shibata stylus with a boron cantilever. The effective mass of the stylus/cantilever system is extremely low due to the use of a very thin boron rod.
