Bergmann Audio - Authorised Distributor
Bergmann Audio was established in 2008, by Johnnie Bergmann. With his mechanical engineering education, he began to develop the air bearing turntables and tonearms, one of his goals were to eliminate the drawbacks of existing air bearing technologies.
All products are developed, produced and assembled inhouse. Every single part in the products are designed by Johnnie Bergmann and manufactured in the Bergmann workshop in Denmark.

Using air bearings

The platter is centered by a steel spindle, running in a very frictionless, low noise and hard wearing polymeric bearing material, and floats on a thin air cushion, which lower the mechanical bearing noise to an absolute minimum- if any. (A traditional bearing solution, which keep the platter centered AND support the platter weight, makes a higher level of mechanical bearing noise, as the contact point between spindle top and platter, generates a very high pressure – and hereby noise.)

By floating on an air cushion, the platter also gains the advantage of a very good isolation from the surroundings, same way as the known -and very expensive- air supported shelfs, used in many highend audio systems.

Also the speed stability benefit from the air supported platter. The musical flow is really extraordinary – not necessarily measurable but audiable.

With the Galder-Odin Signature, even more depth and weight are achieved in the low frequencies. The transparency is dramatically improved, and the full sound image has become even more vivid. The unique design has brought this system to a new sonic level.

Bergmann
This turntable from Bergmann Audio, is Bergmann`s answer to the most universal turntable design. Galder turntable accepts up to 4 tonearms: radial and linear tracking arms. It has output for an airbearing tonearm and the motorbase seperated from the plinth. It can have vacuum hold down or clamp.

Both Galder-Odin and Galder-Odin Signature turntable systems have a Gold Edition. It uses real gold plating for most of the metal parts including the platter, feet, record clamp and on the Odin tonearm parts.

Bergmann
Modi turntable from Bergmann Audio, is an entry level model - an affordable way to experience the advantages of airbearing technology. It accepts 2 tonearms: any tonearm designs - radial and linear tracking types.

Bergmann
Magne turntable from Bergmann Audio, is a high end model with linear tracking airbearing tonearm and it is belt driven. It has a Tacho motor, high precision feedback control system with speed accuracy of 0.003%. Two speeds are available: 33 RPM & 45 RPM.

Bergmann
The most universal linear tracking airbearing tonearm. Odin Tonearm fits most high end turntable designs - including the Bergmann 4-arm turntable model Galder.

The linear tracking tonearm, on Odin tonearm, tracks the record as it is pressed, which results in no tracking error. The benefit is a distortion free and relaxed reproduction, even at complex passages.

One more important advantage of the airbearing is the tonearm’s immunity to acoustic feedback, as it has no mechanical contact (the moving part) to the turntable. The only contact is through the stylus tip and the tonearm wire.

Timbre, details and nuances become a natural part of the transparent and vivid acoustic image.

Bergmann
The most universal linear tracking airbearing tonearm. Thor Tonearm fits most high end turntable designs - including the Bergmann Modi and Galder turntable.

Bergmann focuses on a thoroughly considered simple construction, made with few parts in solid materials, to avoid unintended resonances and to secure optimum stability.
